Issuing of Tree Cutting Permits

Look for what type of license or grant has been issued for the land you wish to drop the tree.

-1) Annual License lands.

-2) middle-class lands that are not prepared.

-3) LDO Permit lands which are issued under the Act

    No felling trees are permitted on the lands indicated under 1 and 2 above. All timber that is removed from these lands will be handed over to the Timber Corporation by the Divisional Secretary.

Submit the following documents to Divisional Secretary

1) Request letter - The signature of the applicant should be certified by the Grama Niladari.

2) The form specifying the details to be filled by the applicant.
3) Documents that can certify the ownership of the timber.

- Folio obtained from the District Land Registrar.

- Land Survey Plan.

A photocopy of the above documents should also be submitted. Once the photocopy has been certified by a staff officer, the original will be returned to you.

4) receipt of the timber if the purchased timber was purchased. (Grama Niladhari should be certified)
5) If the timber land is awarded or shared land, the consent of the partners will be voluntary. (Expression of Opportunity in front of the Grama Niladhari)
6) Original Cut Cession License if obtained license for felling trees.

Issuing of Animal Transport Permits

Issuing of animal transport permit

    Licenses for transporting cattle and goats in the Ingiriya Divisional Secretariat are issued.
    Letter of request
    Grama Niladhari certificate of the area where animals are transported from which area transports animals
    The Grama Niladhari certificate of the area where the animals are taken away from the cattle should be signed by the Divisional Secretary.
